Engineering Students Win 2nd Place in WEFTEC National Conference

The recipe for excellence calls for a large amount of hard work and dedication. Not many students can boast that they have performed with distinction. However, two FGCU engineering students, Max Goodacre and Eric Mead, epitomize exactly what it means to be diligent, meticulous students who strive to exceed the expectations set out for them.
After being tasked with a project to design a system for bioremediation, they decided to take it to another level by not only designing but also creating a practical design worthy of 2nd Place in the national WEFTEC competition in Chicago, Illinois. The Whitaker College of Engineering commends these two young men on being exemplary students and hope they continue to serve as exceptional hallmarks for other students to emulate during their tenure at FGCU.
