Allow me to introduce myself . . .

My name is Lynn See and I am proud to be the Administrative Assistant to the Dean of the U.A. Whitaker College of Engineering.

Groundbreaking Ceremony - 2007

I have the unique distinction of being the very first person to be hired in Engineering (2004).

Over the past 10 years I have:
- Prepared for our first class of students to start in Fall 2005.
(the first class consisted of only 25 students - 10 of whom were offered full Scholarships)

-Attended the Groundbreaking of our own 70,000 sq. ft. building in 2007.

-Celebrated at the Grand Opening of Holmes Hall in January 2009.

-Stood with pride as our first Graduating Class walked across the stage in May 2009.

-Participated in the transition from “School” to “College” in 2010.

-Helped with the recruiting process as our faculty/adjuncts/staff have grown from 1 to 33.

-Rejoiced at the many awards & accomplishments our students & faculty have achieved.

-Watched as our campus has grown from 1 Academic Building (Ben Hill Griffin) and several
trailers in 1999 to over 85 buildings/trailers/modulars in Fall 2014.
-Marveled as our student body has grown from 25 to a projected number of 900 for Fall 2014!

I am extremely honored and grateful to be a part of the greatest University in the
State System!
